Today was the day we went to California Adventure. The park opens an hour later than Disneyland, so we enjoyed a morning to sleep in. Refreshed, we headed to the park. We thought we would start slow again and went to the Monsters, Inc ride first. J-man gave this ride 2 thumbs up and since there was no line, we rode the ride again. Then we rode on some other favorite rides, like California Soarin' and Mulholland Madness. J-man didn't want to ride the "fast" rides, so we walked around and ran into Lightening McQueen and Mater from Cars. J-man was very excited to meet them. J-man said that he didn't like the "Hot Chili Pepper" rides. That was his name for both Space Mountain and California Screamin' because they both play Red Hot Chili Pepper music during the ride. In the meantime, Supergirl had built her courage and up and declared that she wanted to ride California Screamin' - not just a big roller coaster, but one with a loop! Supergirl wanted to go with me first because she said Daddy "screams too loud on the roller coasters." Her heart was racing as we waiting in line. I had my doubts in letting her go on the ride. It was a BIG roller coaster. She was brave and walked right onto the ride. She was doing good until the loop. After the loop, I saw some tears starting to form and was talking to her for the rest of the ride. When she got off, I was sure that she had been ruined forever for the roller coasters, but to my surprise she said hesitantly, "I think I need to ride it more to get used to it." So she rode it 2 more times!!!! She now has the roller-coaster bug and all of the other rides are too boring for her. But being a good big sister, she patiently took J-man into Bug's Land and rode all of the kiddie rides with him.
After lunch we walked to the other side of the park where we ran into the "Big 3" of Princesses - Snow White, Sleeping Beauty, and Cinderella. Supergirl did not want to wait to see them, saying that she had already seen them. J-man on the other hand couldn't wait to see the princesses. He saw Snow White first. "Please could you kiss my page?" he asked. Snow White stopped for a second and then she figured out that he wanted her to sign his autograph book. She thought he was cute. One princess wrapped around his finger. He asked the same question to Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella with the same result. What can he say - he is a natural charmer. Supergirl ended up enjoying the experience as well.
At this point we had done most of the park. Tri-Guy went to do the Tower of Terror and the kids and I went to the Muppet 3-D show. We stayed for the parade and then the kids said they wanted to go back to the hotel and get in the hot tub. What a great idea! We let the kids swim for an hour and then went to bed.
